Portugal
Quorum Dance Company was founded in Portugal in 2005 by Daniel Cardoso, who serves as Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer. Over the years, the company has built an extensive repertoire comprising works by Cardoso and collaborations with guest choreographers from different cultural backgrounds.
Quorum’s repertoire is characterised by an interest in the vocabulary of contemporary dance and by frequent returns to themes, scores and landmarks of choreographic tradition, reinterpreted through the contemporary body. The company has toured Europe, Asia and other regions, while also undertaking educational activities through Quorum Academy and its pre-professional company, Quorum Project.
At STEPS 2026, Quorum Dance Company presents The Rite of Spring and Swan Lake, both choreographed by Daniel Cardoso.
