BeijingDance/LDTX was founded in Beijing in 2005 by Willy Tsao and Li Han-zhong. The name LDTX comes from the expression Lei Dong Tian Xia, translated as “thunder rumbles the universe”.
The company plays an important role in the development of China’s independent contemporary dance scene, with creation, performance and education at the centre of its work. LDTX provides Chinese artists with a framework for developing their own choreographic languages and exploring contemporary experience from diverse perspectives.
Through its performances and educational activities, the company contributes to the international reach of Chinese contemporary dance and to dialogue between artists in China and the international dance community.
At STEPS 2026, BeijingDance/LDTX presents Neverending, choreographed by Feng Xiao-ming, as the edition’s closing performance.
